Jesus on What is TRUE

Jesus had definite opinions about truth and reality. Here is a list of places in the Bible where Jesus spoke on these things, broken down by category. (All Scripture quotations taken from the NKJV).

Jesus on Scripture or the Word of God:

• Mt 4:4* But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’”
• Mt 13:19* “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20* “But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21* “yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. • Mt 22:29* Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
• Mt 26:54* “How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?”
• Mt 26:56* “But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.
