“QR Enabled” Hits the Christian Market
Four Letter Words is one of the first QR Enabled books published for the Christian market. QR, which stands for Quick Response, allows a fully interactive reading experience. Readers can access additional resources, video, audio, or websites by scanning the QR code with their smartphones (first install a free QR app, like Red Laser [tm]).
For example, in chapter 8, I refer to a powerful message by missionary Todd Adams. He describes the horrible moment when thugs car-jacked his jeep with his two young children strapped inside. The QR code takes you immediately to Todd’s audio message on .mp3, spoken before a live audience of thousands of people. It looks like this:
[Depending on your computer screen's resolution and your smartphone, QR codes might not read well unless printed.]
I really wanted Four Letter Words to strike a balance between a READING experience and an IMMERSIVE experience. This is still a book, meant primarily to be read. I didn’t want the QR codes or other visuals to distract from the written word. I hope you enjoy this QR Enabled format.
